Hi, I’m Mattia — the chef behind Mamma Mia. My passion for cooking started when I was a child, growing up in kitchens filled with the aromas and flavours of true Italian food. That passion led me to culinary school and later into the world of Italian and international restaurants. After moving to Helsinki, I wanted to bring not only Italian cuisine with me, but also what truly makes it special: warmth, togetherness, and the joy of sharing food around a table, just like in a real Italian home. Today, I create private culinary experiences — exclusive dinners and cooking classes — directly in people’s homes or in my dedicated location in Vallila. Every dish tells a story, every dinner creates a memory, and every experience is designed to make you feel a little closer to Italy. My goal? To offer you a unique, authentic moment full of flavour… and above all, full of emotion.

I had no idea there was this kind of a italian workshop from an Italian guy and teaching how to cook their traditional meals in Helsinki. If I would know I would definitely be there way earlier. I found out about it with my girlfrind's present and all I can say is this was the best present ever. As a guy who is really interested in food and cooking, this was a dream for me. I really liked how Mattia mentored usand we made all the food together with also learning about the small secret about the food we made. Everything was so delicious and was the best date ever, especially eating the food we made afterwards, also with my new favorite Italian guy Mattia. He is such an amazing and kind person who explained everything to us and was very friendly all the time. This expirience was top tier, and I would highly reccomend to everyone who is even a bit interested in food, but doesnt even have to if you are just trying a new activity to spend quality time, this is the place to be.

Mattia is a charismatic and also very nice guy. We opted for a fish based menu, to remember last summer in Amalfi Cost, and I must say that he made us go back there, at least with the taste and immagination. Unfortunately he can't bring the wine but if you ask him, he will be able to advice you well.
